When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving in Athens a day or two before the welcome drinks to settle in and make the most of the weekend. Our celebrations begin with welcome drinks on 17th September 2026, however there is no pressure to attend although we would love to see you.
How should I pay for the Recovery Day?
The beach club requires pre-payment for sunbeds (€25 per person). We kindly ask that you transfer this amount to the following bank account details:
Name: Edward John Meredith
IBAN: BE75 9050 5478 0351
Swift/BIC: TRWIBEB1XXX
Bank name and address: Wise, Rue du Trone 100, 3rd floor, Brussels, 1050, Belgium
We’ll take care of everything else — food, drinks, and plenty of rosé included!
How do I get to Athens for the Welcome Night?
We recommend heading into the city center a little earlier in the afternoon to explore — wander through the charming streets, see the sights and enjoy an aperitif before the festivities begin.
You can either take an Uber directly into the city center (around 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic), or take an Uber to the nearest metro station and hop on the metro into central Athens, which takes about the same time.
Once in the city, everything is easily walkable — the perfect way to take in the sights before meeting us for welcome drinks beneath the Acropolis. For a pre-drink, we recommend heading to Plaka or Monastiraki, where you’ll find rooftop bars with stunning views, lively streets, and the perfect start to an unforgettable evening.
Is there childcare you can recommend?
Yes — our planner has a number of reliable childcare options that have been tried and trusted locally and with destination wedding. If you’d like contact details or help arranging childcare during the wedding events, please let Chloe know and she’ll be happy to share the information.
